Pallavi Sharda

Pallavi Sharda is an Indian-Australian film/theatre actress and dancer, trained in the classical Indian dance form of Bharatha Natyam
Born in Perth and brought up in Melbourne into an academic family, Sharda commenced her LLB and BA Diploma in Modern Languages (French) at the University of Melbourne, at the age of 16.In 2008,Sharda shifted base from Melbourne to Mumbai
Her Bollywood debut came in Karan Johar's My Name Is Khan (2010), in which she had a suppporting role. In March 2010 Pallavi was crowned 'Miss India Australia' in Sydney.

She next starred in the comedic-drama film, Dus Tola (2010), in which she played the role of Geeta, 'the village dance teacher' opposite actor Manoj Bajpai. Dus Tola hit Indian theatres on 22 October 2010 and Pallavi's performance garnered critical acclaim.Pallavi's second release, an Indo-American film called Walkaway was released on 29 October 2010 across USA.

Pallavi's latest Bollywood release, Love Breakups Zindagi released on 7 October 2011.

Pallavi is the lead actress in the theatrical musical, Taj Express directed by Shruti Merchant and choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant.

Pallavi is about to make her Australian film debut with comedy film Save Your Legs.She has also been confirmed for the female lead role in Abhinav Kashyap's Besharam (2013) opposite Ranbir Kapoor. The film is her first breakthrough role.
